Our event spaces at the Inn at 500:

Richard’s at the Inn at 500 Capitol is the perfect place in downtown Boise to host your next
business meeting. Our staff provides the exceptional cuisine and service Richard’s is known
for—no matter the size of your event.

Our largest event space, the Capitol Room, can accommodate seated events for approximately
100-150 people, depending on configuration, and opens out onto the second-floor outdoor Plaza.
The Capitol Room has its own full bar and beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows with views
overlooking downtown and the foothills and can be divided into spaces to accommodate up to 50
people. The elegant space, complete with hand-crafted glass chandeliers by Boise Art Glass will
impress travel-weary executives used to typical windowless event spaces.

The Capitol Room lends itself to a variety of events: all-day corporate meetings and
presentations, receptions, and multi-day events. Richard’s can provide whatever your group
needs in the way of audio-visual equipment, like projectors for PowerPoint presentations,
microphones and podium, and the Meeting Owl to loop in remote guests or clients.

For smaller groups, up to 16 people, the Boardroom is the perfect spot. With a built-in TV and
web cam, this is a great place for planning meetings, interviews and other small group events.
Bring in a flip chart, and you’re ready to strategize your next fiscal year!

Richard’s catering menu:
As far as the food is concerned, Richard’s has your group covered. Breakfast, mid-morning and
mid-afternoon snacks (the build-your-own smoothie bar is a big hit!), plus lunch and
dinner—buffet or plated. Richard’s catering menu has something for every event, from simple to
elaborate. Boxed lunches are a great way to take “Richard’s to go” if you’ve planned an outing
for your group. Chef Richard Langston has created these menus and there is so much to choose
from. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions as well.

If your event calls for it, there is a full bar available in the Capitol Room—perfect for a reception
before dinner, and we can accommodate any kind of set up, from drink tickets, cash bar or a
hosted bar. The outdoor Plaza is adjacent to the Capitol Room and is perfect for a mid-afternoon
break when the weather permits. There are also breakout spaces available throughout the Inn at
500 that can be reserved.

Our experienced catering staff is ready to help you pull off a memorable corporate event.
Catering Sales Manager Martine Bennett is your first contact, and she will assist with menu

planning, meeting flow and A/V requirements for your event. She can also arrange any rentals
your group requires, whether it’s special colored linens, up lights, or a stage.

Our Banquet Manager, Matthew Varbel, is experienced with setting up A/V. Having an on-site
A/V tech is critical to the success of any event that needs projectors, sound, TVs, etc. He also
manages our seasoned catering staff who can adapt to most anything that comes their way to
ensure a smooth-running meeting for your group.

Our Banquet Captain, Brooke Cuskey, is your first point of contact on the day of your event.
She’ll run your event, making sure the timing of your food and beverage service is served
according to your schedule, while helping to adapt to any changes you encounter, like a speaker
who is late.
